The CDC places its ICT action in the general interest’s programs thanks to a mandate from the CIADT (Inter-ministerial Committee for the Regional Development) of Limoges, in July 2001, that allows the CIADT to follow infrastructure and local communities’ services projects.
The CDC’s approach has 3 main goals:
- Accompany the local communities on their specific development’s projects,
- Help the communities to make easier the Internet connection for most of the people: cyber-base porject,
- Create and offer tolls only dedicated to communities in order to make easier the new technologies utilization: Service-Public Local.
The CDC-DNTIC intervenes upstream at the technology (chosen technologies: satellite, Wi-fi, under deconsolidation or FTTH technologies) and politic level (local communities, Senate...) for all these subjects.
The main objectives are to introduce and to present the CDC-NICTD actions at the new technologies level:
- The high speed infrastructures development.
- The Service-Public Local platform development.
High speed infrastructures development:
- Organization of a seminar at the Senate.
- Press invitation, press release and a summary note about this specific CDC’s action.
- Press conference on this thematic in connection with the debates on the new Decentralization law.
- Press support for the seminar organized by the CDC in partnership with the Senate on this topic.
- One-to-one appointments on this high speed thematic for everyone and everywhere in France.
Service-Public Local
- Press invitation and press release.
- Press conference about the Service-Public Local presentation.
- Press support for the Service-Public Local launch.
