The trial of communication,
A new book by Thierry Wellhoff.
Communication is accused of being superficial, manipulative and polluting our visual environment and also producing a great deal of noise.
As soon as one thing is perceived as lacking in substance, it is often said that “it’s only communication”. By manipulating, communication is charged of being at fault. Is it true
This book’s purpose is to allow communication to plead its case.Communication is everywhere: politics, businesses marketing not to mention communication in a family and between friends. Therefore, communication had to be placed under formal investigation.
This book is a trial.
Condemner or acquit? It is up to the reader to decide.
The reader can make his/her own conclusion from investigations and legal expertises, as well as from the point of view upon communication of different personalities interviewed by the author: Stéphane Richard, Chairman of Orange, Franz-Olivier Giesbert, journalist and novelist, Michel Desjoyeaux, navigator, Gaspard Gantzer, Head of communication at the presidency of the Republic of France…
This book is meant for all those who, in one way or another, are interested in communication, whether they use it or reject it.
